PayPoint announces partnership with Southern Vectis Transport
5 April 2006

PayPoint, the UK’s leading payment collection network, today announces a new partnership with Southern Vectis buses.  From 2nd April 2006, customers on the Isle of Wight will benefit from a new ticket payment option, available at over 40 PayPoint agents across the island. The new service will allow customers to buy Southern Vectis bus tickets in advance from PayPoint retailers.

Southern Vectis, the operator of the island’s buses, is introducing new packages to offer flexibility to customers when travelling. All of these will be available through PayPoint retailers. Prices start at £9.00 a day for a rover ticket and £30 for a 30 day freedom ticket. Child fares are also available.

The new partnership between Southern Vectis and PayPoint will be extremely beneficial for customers, providing them with a convenient and cost-effective service. For the first time, it will be possible for bus tickets to be purchased in advance of travel which will allow customers to plan their journeys more efficiently and cut waiting times at bus queues.

Over the Easter weekend, this new PayPoint service will be particularly convenient for visitors to the Isle of Wight. Families will be able to pack much more into their time on the island now that their journeys can be planned and paid for in advance, allowing them to enjoy a stress-free Easter break.
