PayPoint announces new transport partnerships across the UK

PayPoint, the UK’s leading over the counter payment network is delighted to announce a number of new transport partnerships across the UK.

Oxford Bus Company

A new partnership between Oxford Bus Company and PayPoint, the UK’s best known and most used over the counter payment network will ensure that commuters in Oxford benefit from more convenient ticket top-up options.

Oxford Bus Company Key card holders can now top up their cards at over 90 PayPoint outlets in the area or any PayPoint counter nationwide.

Topping up the Key card is now more convenient than ever, the customer simply has to hand their Key card to the PayPoint retailer who, once payment has been made, will re-charge it for immediate use.

Metrobus - Crawley, Redhill & Reigate Surrey.

PayPoint is delighted to announce that from the 7th July 2007, bus tickets for the operator Metrobus will be available at over 80 PayPoint outlets within the local area. The PayPoint receipt will be placed within a Metrobus ticket wallet by the PayPoint retailer in order to validate it for travel. The following tickets will be available:

Adult Week, Adult Month, Child Week and Child Month for the following types:

  • Crawley Metrorider
  • Redhill & Reigate Metrorider
  • Surrey Metrorider
  • Metrovoyager

Tickets will be available up to 7 days in advance allowing customers to purchase tickets at their convenience

Arriva – Telford and Walsall

Following a successful trial, Arriva has launched their new travel smartcard, the ArrivaCard, to customers in Telford. The ArrivaCard is the simple and convenient way to pay for bus travel. Customers can top-up their ArrivaCard in £5 values up to £70 at over 20 PayPoint outlets in the Telford area or at any PayPoint outlet nationwide.

Customers can get an ArrivaCard by calling the ArrivaCard Hotline on 0845 600 6026 or by visiting www.arrivacard.co.uk – please note that PayPoint agents are unable to supply the cards.

Arriva Midlands have also expanded their operations network into Walsall.

Customers can now purchase bus tickets up to three days in advance of travel from their local PayPoint agent. To launch the scheme, tickets are being offered to customers at discounted prices until 30th June 2007.

The Arriva ticketing range covers Adult Weekly Savers, Child Weekly Savers, Adult 4-Weekly Savers, and Adult Annual Savers. These and these can be purchased from over 600 PayPoint outlets across the following areas:

  • Derby
  • Hinckley
  • Coalville
  • Burton & Swadlincote
  • Tamworth
  • Cannock
  • Stafford
  • Telford
  • Shrewsbury
  • Rugeley… and now Walsall

Thamesdown Transport

Customers can now top-up their Thamesdown Transport Networkcard at over 45 outlets in the area or any PayPoint outlet nationwide. Customers can load values of £10, £20 or £30 onto their cards for on-bus redemption.

Customers simply have to hand over their Networkcard to the retailer; the available top-up values are displayed on the screen for the retail agent to select. Once the transaction is completed and payment has been made, the card is re-charged and the customer can use it immediately.
