Stephen Lloyd and Pudsey Bear open campaign with Eastbourne’s Premier Store and PayPoint

Premier Stores is accepting cash donations to BBC Children in Need via PayPoint, which is used by millions of people every week to make essential household payments. 

Stephen Lloyd said: “The British are famous for their generosity, whatever the state of the economy, and I know that we in Eastbourne will show our support for BBC Children in Need again this year through a huge and imaginative array of fund-raising events.

“With Premier Stores here on Susans Road, there are now 32 PayPoints in Eastbourne, making it really easy and convenient for anyone to donate the cash they raise or make individual donations to BBC Children in Need.

“Hopefully, this will mean that even more money will be raised for Children in Need in Eastbourne this year.”

Premier Stores owner, Mr Kularaajan, says: “I am delighted to welcome Pudsey Bear and Mr Lloyd to my store to launch BBC Children in Need at PayPoint. I am sure that many of my customers, especially young people, will find it far more convenient to make their cash donations here and I’m delighted to be doing my bit to help this very worthwhile cause.”

With 22,500 outlets around the UK, shops with PayPoint are generally close to where people live and are open for longer than other places where cash donations can be made. Premier Stores is open from 6am to 11pm six days a week and to 10pm on Sunday.

There is no charge for making any payments or donations at PayPoint or to BBC Children in Need for the facility. The Children in Need appeal show takes place on the BBC on 19 November.
